Lotus Seed Cutlet- Menu for Fast(Vrat)

Shravan /Sawan month is dedicated to Lord Shiva. Whole month is considered auspicious to seek blessing of Lord Shiva. People keep various fasts during Shravan/Sawan month to please Lord Shiva.


So here’s bringing a recepie which can be consumed in fast.


It is very easy to make, very tasty and keeps you fulfilled for longer time.


 Ingredients

1 cup lotus seed/Makhane

2 boiled potato( can use sweet potato too)

1 /2teaspoon black pepper

1/2 spoon green chillies

Rock salt to taste

1spoon coriander leaves

8-9 cashews

6-7 Raisins

1 tablespoon kuttu ka Atta or rajgira ka atta
Oil for frying or shallow fry


Preparation 

1. Soak lotus seeds for 2 hours in one cup water & then strain them

2. Mash potatoes & add all the ingredients except cashews & raisins

3.Mix them well & form small balls.Flattened the balls & stuff with cashew & raisin

4 Now give it a shape of tikkis. Make tikkis of all balls

5. Heat oil & fry or shallow fry as per your choice. I have shallow fried them

6 Serve with green chutney.
