Naan- Recepi with and without Yeast

During this lockdown Period, many of you who are fond of eating in restaurants must be missing outside food

I believe there is nothing which we cannot make at home.Today sharing the recepi of Naan.

Naan is a flatbread made up of all-purpose flour,leavened with yeast and baked in oven. You can enjoy this flatbread with dal, gravy vegetable and even any dry vegetable.

Many people are not comfortable in using Yeast, so today I am sharing a recepi with and without yeast.So try this easy recepi of making Naan and satiate your cravings and not to miss the restaurant food.

Ingredients (with Yeast)

2 cups maida

1tbsp sugar

1tbsp yeast

Salt to taste

2 tbsp oil

1 cup warm water.

Preparation

In a bowl add 2 tbsp warm water,mix sugar and yeast in it and keep it covered aside for 10 minutes for yeast to activate.

Now add maida, salt and oil to activated yeast.Mix it properly and knead the dough for 10 minutes till it becomes smooth

Cover the bowl with warm cloth and keep the dough for fermentation for one hour

After one hour check the dough, it should double its size, if not then keep it for 15-20 minutes more.If the dough doubles then it is ready to make naan

Make balls of dough and roll it in naan shape, sprinkle some nigella seeds and chopped coriander on dough ball before rolling

Bake it in oven or on tawa as you cook roti

Apply ghee / butter and serve it hot

Ingredients (without Yeast)

2 cups maida

1tbsp sugar

1/2 cup curd

Salt to taste

2 tbsp oil

Water as required to make a dough

Preparation

In a bowl add all the ingredients and make a dough

Cover the bowl with a lid and keep the dough for fermentation overnight/5-6 hours

Make balls of dough and roll it in naan shape, sprinkle some nigella seeds and chopped coriander on dough ball before rolling

Bake it in oven or on tawa as you cook roti
