You all must have seen in my previous posts, I posted the recepi of “Suji Savoury Cake”. I have made some modification to the Suji Cake.It is equivalent tasty as Suji cake with more flavours in it.
This cake contains suji, besan, potato, chilli flakes as main ingredient. The detailed ingredients and process is shared below.
This breakfast is one pot snack which is quite fulfilling too. When accompanied with morning or evening tea it is like Icing on the Cake. It can also be served with sauce too.
1/2 cup suji
1/2 cup besan
1 raw potato grated
1 chopped onion
1 chopped capsicum
More veggies of your choice, you can add.
Salt to taste
1 spoon chilli flakes
1/4 spoon haldi powder
1/2 spoon garam masala
1 spoon lemon juice
1/2 spoon baking soda
1/2 spoon mustard seeds
1/2 spoon sesame seeds
3-4 apoon oil
Take a bowl, put suji,besan and grated potato. Put some water & make batter of it & keep it aside for 5-7 minutes
In this batter add chopped onion, capsicum and other vegetables you wish toAdd salt, haldi powder, chilli flakes , garam masala, lemon juice and mix it properly
Keep a deep round kadai on gas on low flame
Pour oil in it, when oil heated add mustard seeds and sesame seeds
Till they splutter add baking soda in the batter and mix properly
Once seeds splutter, add the batter, just pat a little with spoon to make it even
Cover the lid on kadhai, please note the flame should be low throughout
When it is cooked from one side, flip it and cook other side
It will take approx 20-25 minutes and your tasty breakfast is ready
