Malai Kofta- A Rich in Taste

This is the dish, which will certainly satiate your cravings. Malai Kofta is certainly rich in taste gravy sabji to relish at home.

Sharing a easy recepi yet very tasty to have in your lunch/dinner or home party menu.Accompany it with Naan/Tandoori Roti or Laccha Paratha to enhance its taste.

Ingredients of kofta

2 boiled potato

1cup paneer

1/2 spoon green chilli

1/2 spoon ginger

1 spoon green coriander

1 tbspn corn flour

1 spoon pepper( white/ black)

Salt to taste

Oil to fry

Ingredients for curry

1 medium size onion

2-3 tomatoes

Green chilli

1/2 spoon ginger

1 spoon oil

1 spoon butter

Small dal chini stick

1 bay leaf( Tej patta)

1 badi elaichi

1 green elaichi

1 kashmiri chilli

1 laung( clove)

1/2 spoon shahi jeera

7-10 cashews

1/4 spoon haldi powder

1 spoon coriander powder

1 spoon chilli powder

Salt to taste

Cream fresh or store bought

Preparation of kofta

Mash boiled potato,add paneer and mix properly

Add ginger,chilli and corianderNow add salt and pepper to it

Add cornflour and mix properly

Shape them as kofta, round/ cylnderical as you like

Heat oil and fry them on low flame

Preparation of Curry

Heat a spoon of oil and butter

Add dal chini,bay leaf, badi elaichi, green elaichi,kashmiri chilli,laung and jeera

Once jeera splutter add chopped onion.When onion turns pink add ginger and  chopped green chilli.Now add all spices i.e haldi powder, chilli powder , coriander powder,salt to taste

Now add chopped tomatoes and cook them for 5 minutes on low flame.Add cashews to it.Add 2 cups water and let it cook on low flame till tomatoes get soft

Now let it cool.Once cool then put it in mixer, remove bay leaf and grind it into paste

Sieve the mixture and heat it in a pan till one or two boils.Add fresh cream to it

Plating of Malai kofta

Place kofta in serving plate.Pour curry on it. Pour some fresh cream and  garnish with kasoori methi

Malai kofta is ready to relish. Served it with Hot Tandoori Roti .
