In this Summer Season Moongdal Paratha and Aamras is the best combo to have. Easy to make and very tasty to taste buds too.
A humble food which is liked by all elders and small ones.Summers are the season of Mangoes anyways. There are various combos with Mango juice like, dal-rice-aamras, puri-aamras and many more. All have their own unique taste to enjoy in summers.
If you get bored with veggies in summer, which we generally do then this combo is really a saviour to have. Not too much preparation required and fulfilling too.
Ingredients
1 cup yellow moong dal
2 spoon oil for making filling
Oil for cooking parathas
A pinch of hing
1/4 spoon cumin seeds
1/2 spoon chilli powder
1/4 spoon haldi powder
1/2 spoon amchur powder
1/4 spoon dried crushed Pudhina( Mint)
1/4 spoon garam masala( optional)
Salt to taste

Preparation
Soak moongdal for 3-4 hours. Strain water from it
For preparing filling,heat oil in a pan, add hing,jeera to it.When jeera splutters add strained moongdal to it
Stir it then add all spices to it, mix it well.Cook for 2-3 minutesor till the dal softens a little and then turn off the flame and let it cool

Take a ball of dough,roll it half then fill the filling 1/2 spoon ,close all the ends and roll it like chapati, little thicker than chapati

Heat tawa and cook the paratha with oil.Serve it with chilled Mango juice.
