Oats Yogurt Parfait – A Healthy Snack


Oats are whole grain Cereal and has lot of health benefits. It is good source of fiber and are high in vitamins, minerals and antioxidants.

As they are benefiial in lowering blood sugar and cholestrol levels, oats have gained attention as healthy food

The word “Parfait” means perfect. They are most often prepared in tall glasses and are typically made with layers of ingredients.

Our todays recipe is Oats Yogurt Parfait. So this is prepared using mainly Oats, Yogurt and layer of fruits of your choice. This is certainly a good and healthy option of healthy breakfast and snack recipe. The best part is you can even prepare it in advance and keep it overnight to enjoy it as breakfast.


1 cup oats

11/2 cup milk

1cup hung curd

3 spoon chia seeds

Fruits sliced( banana, kiwi, apple, grapes, pomegranate or any seasonal fruits), berries

Dry fruits- walnut/ almonds

For sweetener you can use honey, chocolate sauce, rose syrup or sugar anything of your choice..


Cook oats in milk and let them cool

Soak chia seeds in water for 2-3 hours or overnight

Now take a glass/ bowl and start layering for Parfait

First layer the cooked oats then layer of hung curd, fruitslices( any fruit slice you can layer before or after)then chia seeds and repeat the layers step again

Top it with sweetener and dry fruits. You can also add your sweetner in curd. You can skip this step also as fruits are sweet, So anything of your choice.

Your healthy and fulfilling breakfast is ready to relish
